BootComp: Comping Challenge Workbook & Planner

My BootComp books are designed for compers who want to get more out of their hobby, and are prepared to dedicate time to getting really stuck in to comping!

For 2024, BootComp is published as two separate books: the A5 sized BootComp 2024 Comping Planner (which does not include the 12 challenges) and the large format BootComp Comping Challenge Workbook (which does not include a planner!)

The twelve challenges in the workbook only have a few minor differences to the 2023 BootComp planner, so if you already own that book you won’t need to re-buy the new edition!

Both books are now available on Amazon at an initial launch price of £10 – the price will increase closer to Christmas, so buy early… BootComp is just what you need to start 2024 with a bang!

BootComp FAQs

I had lots of great questions during the BootComp live launch event, so I’ve added the answers here!

How do I join the BootCompers Facebook group?
If you buy the BootComp Comping Challenge Workbook you’ll find the passcode in the book – ask to join here, and give the code in your answers to the questions. Purchasing the BootComp 2024 Planner on its own does not get you group access.

Will there be a new BootComp published every year?
The BootComp Planner will be published with a new calendar each year in A5 format. The BootComp Comping Challenge Workbook will only be updated when necessary.

Will there be a new password for the Facebook group each year?
No, once you’ve bought a copy of the BootComp Comping Challenges Workbook (or won one!) you’ll have lifetime access to the BootCompers Facebook group

Is it useful for people outside the UK?
The BootComp challenges and Facebook group will be helpful for non-UK residents, but you may find that the event days in the calendar are incorrect as most will be UK specific.

Can I buy from outside the UK?
BootComp is available globally on Amazon.

Are you new to comping?

If you’re a complete beginner, then the BootComp Comping Challenge Workbook may be a little advanced for you – but don’t worry, because I’m also publishing How to Win Competitions soon, my book for beginners! I’ll let you know as soon as that one is ready to buy.

Let me know if you have any questions about BootComp, and I’ll be happy to answer them! You can also re-watch my Facebook Live Q&A in the Lucky Learners group broadcast on 29 October 2023 to see the books inside and find out more.

  3. Andrea Dimmick says:

When dose the new book come out? can I get a signed copy buying direct from you?

    • Di says:

For BootComp 2024, all sales will go via Amazon and bookshops this time, so there will only be limited signed copies available directly from me, and they will be taken to events, sent out as prizes, etc.! I’m hoping to have the book available to purchase from October/November.

  4. Kieran Walsh says:

Just got my copy via Amazon WOW! Lots of reading, fantastic Book thank you Di, for your effort

  5. Heidi Spiller says:

Is there a way for you to put up a link, Di please, as I have received the book today but everytime I put ‘bootcompers’ in search on FB it comes up with bootcAmpers only :/ thanks for the book etc. I look forward to using the book etc. Happy comping xxxx merry Christmas

    • Di says:

Heidi I’ve sent you a link via email. I’m not sharing a link publicly because people who haven’t bought the book will click through to join, which makes my admin job harder as I have to double check all the requests!

  6. Please can you tell me if the book will arrive before Xmas .
    Thank you

    • Di says:

Yes! It was posted on 28 November so should be with you any time now.

    • KelleyP says:

Hi Di, thank you so much for sending the BootComp books out. Mine arrived today & I’m very excited to read & digest it properly. I have had a couple of amazing wins recently but I’m waiting until they materialise properly before posting about them. Also, well done on your Champagne Advent win. Good luck to all BootCompers in the months to come.

  7. Simone Crawford says:

My hubby is getting this for Christmas for me! I can’t wait!

  8. Deborah Garland says:

I’ve ordered and hope that 2023 is my year to start winning comps. So far this year I haven’t won anything although to be fair I only spend two Sunday’s a month entering. 2023 I plan to be much more organised and enter ‘effort required’ comps.

  9. KelleyP says:

I’ve ordered mine too, thank you Di and good luck with it. The only sad thing is I cannot participate in the “access to a new private BootCompers Facebook group with regular live events and Q&As for each challenge” as for a variety of reasons, mostly to do with my previous job, I’m not on Facebook. I also can’t take part in your Lucky Learners group, which is a shame.

    • Di says:

That’s a shame Kelley. I wonder if there’s a way you could get to see the videos I’ll stream in the Facebook group. I’ll see if there’s a way to download and share outside of Facebook!

  10. Julia Linsley says:

Will eagerly await delivery – looks like a lot of hard work must have gone into this Thankyou

  11. Diane Brook says:

    All ordered. Can’t wait! Xx
