Let there be light
Urban Cottage Industries are running a lovely photo competition for bloggers, with £500 of photography equipment to be won, plus five personalised Moleskine notebooks for runners up.
The challenge is to publish a blog post featuring two photographs you’ve taken – one showcasing natural light and one showcasing artificial light.
Here’s my entry – I’ve chosen two favourite photos from our trip to Japan in October. These two photographs were taken within a couple of hours of each other from the top of the Mori Tower in Tokyo. In the first one, the city is bathed in sunlight as the sun sets in the distance. Then it’s the same view at night – the twinkling lights of the metropolis! It really was the most beautiful evening to have such an awesome view of my favourite city in the world.
How to enter
If you’d like to enter this competition yourself, create a blog post called ‘Let there be light’ and include your natural light photo and artificial light photo.
In your blog post you’ll also need to include a follow link to www.urbancottageindustries.com and then email your link to firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet to @urbancottageind with #LetThereBeLight
The competition closes on 31st January 2018 at 11.59pm.
The blogger with the most creative and interesting use of light, as judged by Sian Lewis (thegirloutdoors.co.uk), Julia Hartbeck (confusedjulia.com) and Stacey Sheppard (thedesignsheppard.com) will be awarded with a £500 Amazon voucher to spend on photography equipment, and the 5 runners up will receive a gorgeous personalised Moleskine notebook!
