Lucky Legends Membership & FAQs

Lucky Legends is the SuperLucky members club for dedicated compers. Members have exclusive access to the Compers Shopping List, the Lucky Legends competition forum plus a monthly live broadcast where Di shares comping tips. Plus there are lots of exclusive member-only giveaways to win cash, vouchers and other goodies!

If you’d like to join Legends, it costs £5 for monthly membership or £50 for an annual membership. Payment can be by Visa, American Express or Mastercard, and your subscription will renew automatically (you can cancel at any time and your membership won’t expire until the renewal date).

Please read the Membership terms and conditions!

What do I get with my membership?

Members get access to the Compers Shopping List, a sortable table of 100+ current purchase necessary promotions in UK shops. They also have access to the shopping list archives, which feature every CLOSED purchase necessary promotion since May 2024.

Members can also join the private Lucky Legends forum which features 700+ current UK based competitions and community chat. Sub-forums include creative, mobile apps, radio comps and lots more. There’s even forums specifically for regional giveaways.

Every month there’s a special Legends Live broadcast for members on Google Meet, where Di answers your comping questions and gives tips on comping strategies and the latest promotions. There’s also prizes to be won during the stream!

And of course there are lots more exclusive member-only competitions and prize draws, and prize incentives for sharing comps on the forum.

Is Lucky Legends suitable for brand new compers?

The membership is designed for compers with some experience of the hobby. The idea is that new compers can join the Lucky Learners Facebook group and read the Beginners Guide to get started with the hobby. And if they decide to take comping more seriously, they can join Legends! Of course those that are new to the hobby are welcome to sign up immediately – but as it’s a financial commitment I would prefer that you are passionate about comping and will get the most out of the membership before paying!

How do I pay for membership?

You will need to become a SuperLucky member first at superlucky.me/joinlegends and select a username and password, then input your card details – once your card payment has been processed by Stripe, you’ll receive confirmation of your membership.

Unfortunately we couldn’t get a single log-in system working, so you will need to register first for membership here on the SuperLucky website at superlucky.me/joinlegends. Once you’ve paid, you’ll then need to register for the Lucky Legends forum at forum.superlucky.me/register. You won’t be able to log into the forum using your membership details until you register! Once you’ve joined I’ll approve you as a new forum member.

Can I cancel my membership if I’m not happy?

Of course! You can cancel at any time by logging into your account and going to the Cancel Membership page. Because it’s a subscription based service, there are no refunds. If you cancel your membership it will continue to run for the period you paid for, and expire the day before your renewal was due. On this date you will lose access to the Compers Shopping List and Lucky Legends forum. I would recommend if you sign up for annual membership, to set a reminder in your calendar just before your renewal date in 12 months time – so you’re able to cancel if you can’t afford the £50 renewal.

Can I switch from monthly payments to annual?

Yes, just go to www.superlucky.me/joinlegends and select the annual membership. You won’t get any refunds on your monthly payments, so do this just before your next monthly payment is due!

Will members be expected to post on the new forum?

There’s no requirement to post on the forum for members, but it’s encouraged and active members will have the chance to win prizes. There will be a monthly prize draw with three cash prizes (£25, £15 and £10) for all those that have contributed at least one new purchase necessary competition to the forum that month, plus other incentives. If you’re a regular contributor you might even be able to earn back the cost of your subscription!

Can I pay by PayPal?

Lucky Legends membership requires payment by card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) and unfortunately PayPal is not an option. When you join, the payment gateway will set up a recurring subscription (monthly or annually depending on the option you selected).

What should my username be?

Please try to choose the same username when you sign up for both the SuperLucky membership AND the Lucky Legends forum. You might want to use a name that’s familiar to other compers and Lucky Learners – your Instagram username, or Facebook name, for example. Do not use your email address, as the username will display publicly on the forum!

Can I upload a profile photo on the forum?

Once you’ve been approved to join the forum, you’ll be able to upload a profile picture – you might want to use the same one as on your Facebook or social media accounts so people recognise you!

Is the Lucky Learners Facebook group closing?

No way! Lucky Learners will remain a comping chat group – with the weekly and monthly winners posts, advice and lots more. The only thing missing will be the actual competition listings!

What will happen to comps posted in Lucky Learners?

Comps already in Lucky Learners will not be deleted from the Facebook group, but some may be re-posted on Lucky Legends in a more organised format. Any new comps posted by Lucky Learners members will be added to the Lucky Legends forum, or (if appropriate) to the SuperLucky instant wins list and text-to-wins list.

Will comps still be listed on the SuperLucky website?

The SuperLucky website will remain exactly the same except that the Compers Shopping List will be behind a ‘paywall’ and only accessible to members. Popular posts like the list of text competitions, instant wins, Top 5 comps and car competitions will still be regularly updated and accessible to everyone for free. If you have questions about any of the comps featured on these free posts, you’ll be able to ask on the relevant topic on the new forum.

How does the forum work?

You’ll be able to update your profile with a photo, location and bio. You can create TOPICS within FORUMS and also reply to topics with your own POST (like a Facebook comment). You can include photos and links in your posts.

  • The forum has a search function, private messaging and tagging
  • You can subscribe to forums, topics and users to ensure you get email notifications about the type of competitions you enjoy
  • You can choose to get a daily or weekly email round up of new comps posted in your subscribed forums.
  • You can react to posts to show you’ve seen it/entered the competition
  • No information in the forum will ever be deleted, so you’ll always be able to find details of closed comps easily (this has always been a problem on Facebook!)
  • Forum moderators can edit other members’ posts to add essential information and closing dates

Is there a user guide for the forum?

I have created a user guide to help you navigate the forum, at http://superlucky.me/legendsguide. The file is saved in Google Documents, which makes it easy for me to update it with new information when necessary. You’ll be able to read it just by clicking here – if you’re on a mobile device, the file will be easier to read and the screenshots will be clearer if you open it in the Google Docs app (download for iOS or Android). I also hosted a Google Meet live stream with tips and guidance on using the forum and shopping list on Tuesday 13th August – find details and a link to watch it in the Legends Live sub-forum!

There’s also a general VBulletin help guide at https://forum.superlucky.me/help.

Do you need to be a Lucky Learner to sign up for membership?

Not at all! Everyone is welcome to join Lucky Legends, all you need is an email address and a credit or debit card to pay for the subscription.

What is happening to the BootCompers Facebook group?

The BootCompers group (for buyers of my BootComp Comping Challenge workbook) is archived, and members have access to a new private BootCompers forum on Lucky Legends. BootCompers who aren’t Legends members can access this forum, as well as the Winners forum and the monthly live calls. All content will still be accessible in the archived BootCompers Facebook group, and members can comment on existing posts – there just won’t be any new posts allowed!

Are there free memberships available?

I have offered free memberships to all my amazing Facebook group Admins & Moderators, and also to those who have regularly posted details of appropriate competitions in the Lucky Learners Facebook group. If you’re an active user of the forum, and are interested in being a moderator please DM me.

Can I buy a subscription as a gift?

Gift subscriptions aren’t possible at the moment because the subscription is set up as a recurring payment, but they may be possible to set up in the future!

Does the forum have regional competitions?

Lucky Legends has separate forums for ROI/NI, London competitions and other regions of the UK. You must request to view these forums, so members don’t see content from areas they are not interested in.

If I’m a member of Compers News and Lucky Legends can I post the same comp on both?

If you’ve found the comp yourself, you’re free to share details of it wherever you like! But members should not copy any information posted by other members between Chatterbox and Lucky Legends.

What happens if my automatic subscription payment fails?

If your subscription payment fails due to a card cancellation or lack of funds, Stripe will send an email asking you to update your payment details. Stripe will try 3 more times over the following month to take the payment. If all 4 payments fail, your membership will be cancelled and your forum membership will expire. If you then pay to join again, your membership will be reinstated.

If you missed my initial post explaining the changes, you can read it here. I hope to see you in Legends soon, and thanks for your support and patience while I have been working on this.

What is the login or is it the existing one

Hi Di. I find certain times of the year I can dedicate more time to comping so feel other times I would be throwing away money I can’t afford. Therefore is it ok to sign up for a couple of months then suspend it and may be in a few months sign up for another couple of months?

    • Di says:

Apologies Christine, I was sure I replied to this back in July! You can cancel monthly membership and then sign up again at any time, but it would be paying full price (£5 a month) when you start again, it’s not possible to restart at the half price rate.
