Valentines Round Up & Linky 2013

Love comps? Yup, I thought so! You’ll be pretty delighted to hear that there’s a distinct lack of voting in this year’s creative Valentine’s competitions – there’s lots of fun judged tiebreakers and some random draws too. As well as the comps I’ve shared here, I’ll be adding a linky at the end of the post for you to add more love-themed creative comps as the big days draws closer. Keep in mind with the tiebreakers that it’s the funny stories rather than the soppy ones that will really stand out!

Win a Love Bouquet plus some Love Hearts with Flowers Direct. Just comment on their Facebook post to say what 3 words would you write on a Love Heart to your special someone. Winner chosen at random, and the closing date is 4 February 2013.

Parcel2go are giving away a £50 Love2Shop voucher to the most creative entry in their Valentine’s comp. To enter, post on their Facebook page saying what your perfect date is, tagging the person you would like to date. You also need to include the link http://link2.fm/3EQWYW. There’s a weekend in Paris on offer in the Card Town tiebreaker competition. To enter, describe your dream date in less than 30 words – the entries will be judged and five runners up get a giant Valentine’s card! Closing date is 6 February 2013.

If you’re in the Coventry area, the DeVere Village hotel is offering an overnight stay plus dinner and pamper package on 14 February – nominate a couple (or yourselves!) over at Have a Lovely Time before 7 February 2013.

Pong Cheese are giving away a heart-shaped box of cheesy goodies – to enter, write a short poem or one-liner, dedicated to a loved one, with a cheesy twist and enter via Facebook or Twitter with the #cheeselove hashtag. Full details are at www.pongcheese.co.uk and it closes on 7 February 2013.

Swatch are using Twitter for their tiebreaker – you need to tweet your #truelove declaration to @swatch. The top five from each participating country (UK, Spain, Switzerland, Netherlands & Belgium) will be published in Metro (or local paper) on Valentine’s Day and and their favourite overall will win €3000 travel vouchers. Costa Coffee want to hear your dating stories – the person that submits “the funniest, worst, best or most heart warming dating story” will win a weekend in Paris plus a year’s supply of coffee! Enter on their Facebook App before 10 February 2013.

I discovered Metcalfe’s Skinny Topcorn through their on-pack promo last year, and they’ve just started getting busy with the comps on Facebook and Pinterest – hurrah! Their Valentine’s comp is easy peasy – Follow them on Pinterest, repin this image to your own board adding your favourite flavour combo (it can be anything, not just their popcorn flavours) plus the hashtag #MatchMadeInHeaven. Them message them on Facebook with a link to your board! One random winner gets a month’s supply of Skinny Topcorn – closes 11 February 2013.

Lovely Things are giving away a mysterious prize of a ‘Bag of Love‘ to the winner of their photo competition – to enter, make something into a heart and upload it to their Facebook page before 11 February 2013.

House of Fraser have a massive hamper of goodies worth over £2000 up for grabs in their competition – to enter, share an entertaining or funny story about a Valentine’s gift or treat you’ve received here before 13 February 2013 (winner is judged!).

Scribbler are giving away an iPad Mini in their Valentine’s competition – to enter, complete the sentence Love is… either on their blog or tweet your answer to @scribblercards along with the hashtag #loveis. The winner is judged and the closing date is 15 February 2013.

Foodies100 have joined forces with Aphrodite Greek Yogurts for a romantic recipe competition. You need to blog your love-inspired recipe for two (using one of their Greek Gods yogurt products) and then Tweet it to @tots100 using the #GreekGods hashtag.
