It might be cold outside, but that gives you even more reason to cheer yourself up with thoughts of summer sunshine, live music, and having fun at festivals! Funk The Family is my favourite local festival, just a stone’s throw from my house in Hove Park – and last year they introduced a grown up version too, Funk The Format. So if you’re in Brighton on the weekend of 17th and 18th June, I can’t imagine any better place to be!

Funk the Family
Launched in 2014, Funk The Family combines exceptional live music and DJs with fantastic entertainment and activities for all the family. We had a whale of a time at last year’s festival, spent hours dancing at Club Tropicana – and Ryland loved the kids entertainment in the circus tent!

Funk the Format
Also in Hove Park, Funk The Format is an over-18s festival specialising in soul, hip hop, disco, funk, reggae, jungle, jazz and related sounds, with a focus on good vibes, good music and good fun.
