Maybe* Mother’s Day Competition (ended)

Have you heard of Maybe* yet? Perhaps you’ve spotted a tweet using the #WDYT hashtag and wondered what that’s all about?

Maybe* is a way to bring together all the things you fancy buying (your Maybes) in one place, as a collection. So whether you spot something online, or in store, you can save a photo of it to Maybe* and then ask friends to help you decide by voting on their favourites. It’s a fun way to help make decisions about a new pair of shoes, a dress for a special occasion, or even a mirror for your hallway. You simply ask people #WDYT? (What Do You Think?) – they can vote Yes or No, and leave a comment.

Maybe* is clever too – when you’re out and about, the app will let you know when you’re near a shop that sells something that you’ve saved to a collection. So you can go and try on that amazing pair of shoes and see if they’re more than just a Maybe*!

Maybe* is available on the web, on your iOS phone, iPad and as a Chrome extension for your PC or Mac. (coming soon for Android!)

Maybe* monthly giveaways

Did you know, each time you vote and comment on one of Maybe*’s most popular collections, you have a chance to win the item you like – or if you create your own collection and manage to get more than ten votes on it, you could win your choice of item from the collection. Maximum prize value is £100 and there’s at least one winner chosen per month – find out more on the Maybe* website and keep an eye on the @appmaybe Twitter feed for some great items to vote on!

Exclusive! Maybe* Mothers Day Competition

With Mothers Day coming up, Maybe* and I have teamed up to host a fun prize draw, where one winner will win their favourite item (worth up to £100) from my own Mothers Day Gifts Collection. So if you fancy winning a Radley handbag, an Aspinal of London Manicure set or even a pair of bay trees, read on…

How to enter

  • Check out my Mothers Day Collection on Maybe* at http://bit.ly/MaybeMumGifts
  • Register with Maybe* (or log in if you’re already signed up)
  • Vote on all nine gifts by choosing a green tick or a red cross.
  • Click to view the item you would like to win, then copy the link to it (either from your browser address bar, or by clicking share)
  • Share that link on Twitter, using #WDYT, #MaybeMothersDay and tagging @SuperluckyDi

That’s it! The closing date is Mother’s Day, Sunday 26th March at 11.59pm. One lucky winner will be chosen at random from all tweeted entries, and will win the item they shared!

Hi again Di, I have been opening these e-mails but none of them have a link to update e-mail preferences, just one to unsubscribe. I’m guessing that would take me out of the competition? I don’t mind an e-mail a day but there is a lot of them.

Is there any way to reduce the frequency of the e-mails they send you please? Seem to be getting about a dozen a day or more and I find it a bit off-putting.

Sound an interesting concept. Must try it out. Much better than playing that annoying SNATCH app game – it just about drove me mad as someone local kept snatching my parcels as soon as I got them.

  11. I love a Radley bag! I was lucky enough to win one a couple of years ago, but one of my Sharpie pens leaked inside, leaving a big black circle on the blue leather. Sob!!!

Thanks for the comp Di and for letting us know about the Collections – i did not know about them. “Maybe” have sent me an email asking why I have not used them for a while. They want to keep people interested and said they would respond to my comments. I can give a nod to you here as I can say that you have brought them back above the radar.

My cleaner & very good friend Jean would love this. She jokes that I’m her personal shopper as she tells me what she wants to buy & tasks me with finding it at the best possible price. ‘Maybe’ I could send the links to her on this app
