Create a Pinterest Prize Wishlist – and WIN!

One of the best pieces of advice I can give to a comper with limited time is to concentrate on the prizes you’d really love to win! There are thousands of competitions out there and there’s no way we can enter ALL of them. Try to focus your energy and effort on winning your perfect prizes, whether that’s a world cruise or a hamper of cheese. Every year I post my own wishlist here on my blog, but Pinterest gives us a fabulous opportunity to create a visual wishlist which can be an excellent inspiration – especially if you win one of the prizes on it!

And so… onto the exciting news! I’m encouraging you to enter my Pinterest Promotion, where you can win a prize of your choice from www.amazon.co.uk up to the value of £50 – hurrah!

If you’re not yet on Pinterest, you can read all about how to get started on my blog post ‘Pinteresting Prizes’ – if you already use Facebook or Twitter then it shouldn’t take too long to get to grips with it.

To enter, I would like you to sign up to Pinterest and create a board called Wishlist. Onto your board, Repin this image from my own board:

Then Pin (or Repin) at least ten prizes that you would love to win. They can be anything: objects, places, experiences, people you’d like to meet… use your imagination! Start off by searching Pinterest for photos to Repin, Pin from other websites, or even upload your own photos. You can see my own board at http://pinterest.com/dicoke/wishlist/

Now, here’s the important thing – if you win my competition, you get a single prize of your choice from Amazon.co.uk to the value of £50. Your desired prize must be pinned from the Amazon site to your Wishlist board – add the hashtag #Amazonprize to the description when you Pin it so I can spot it (see my example Ukulele!)

To complete your entry, email a link to your Pinterest Board to pinterest@superlucky.co.uk before midnight on Friday 15 June 2012. I will choose a winner at random, notify them by email and arrange to deliver their chosen #Amazonprize! I would hope that, even if you don’t win the prize, you will continue to add to your Wishlist and use it as a source of inspiration and motivation for your comping!

Terms and Conditions:
• This prize draw is open to UK residents aged 16 or over
• One entry per person
• The entrant must have a Pinterest account, create a ‘Wishlist’ board and pin to it:
– the ‘Win’ competition graphic
– a prize from the Amazon.co.uk website costing less than £50
– at least ten other prizes

• Entries must be received by email before midnight on 15 June 2012.
• A winner will be chosen at random and notified by 22 June 2012.

Hi, could I possibly request an invite from someone? I hadn’t heard of pinterest before and requested an invite but apparently it can take weeks from them.

I found a samsung pinterest competition:
    http://www.samsung.com/uk/gs3/pintowin/
Although I can’t enter, I thought I might as well share.

I’ve been a visitor to your blog since you posted the iluvmycan competition (I created the dragon head, and flower necklace and absolutely loved participating). So thank you very much.

Great —this made me actually sit down and play. An trying to think of what you would like to win was actually difficult!!!

  14. I really enjoyed doing that. I wasn’t really sure about Pinterest before but now I see the benefits. I’m like Lorraine though, I just keep adding to it!

  15. I’ve just spotted Brad Pitt on one of the entries! ;o)

  16. Lorraine says:

I keep finding more things I want to win! My board was fairly sensible when I emailed it to you, but it keeps on growing!

  17. Well, you say that – but you can win £150 of smoothing treatments here: http://www.smoothmedical.co.uk/competition.php – anything (almost!) is possible LOL!

  20. Susan Peart says:

    Thanks

  21. There’s a problem with that email address at the moment and I’m waiting for someone to help me sort it – until then, send through to superlucky@mac.com instead! Sorry about that!

  22. Susan Peart says:

Lovely competition, but I also go a Mailer-Daemon email back, copied the address and tried typing manually, not sure what I am doing wrong.

  23. Sarah, try adding text to your link. It seems my server occasionally rejects mail as spam if it’s only a URL!

  24. Sarah Loughridge says:

Really enjoyed doing this -finally think I have figured Pinterest out! However, when I sent you the link by email I got a Mailer-Daemon email back to say it coulden’t be delivered:) I just copied and pasted the URL into the email. Should I have done something different?

  25. Emailed you, had fun finding stuff. A great competition idea! 😀

  26. robertfox24 says:

Thanks Di, think I’ve cracked it!

  27. Have you read my blog about how to ‘pin’ images from different sites at http://super-lucky.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/pinteresting-prizes-latest-comping.html Kirsty? It looks like you’re saving the images to your computer and then re-uploading them instead of just pInning them whilst you browse the web. Although on your other boards you seem to have managed it just fine, it’s just this one and your John Crane one that aren’t right. For John Crane, they DO need to see the links back to their site so you will have to Repin those from their website. Let me know if you still have problem after reading my blog post!

  28. robertfox24 says:

Sorry forgot to add that my board is under the name Kirsty Fox, robertfox is my husband and I use his email address!

  29. robertfox24 says:

I’m entering this fab competition, but just a quick question as I am just getting the hang of Pinterest, why do you images have the name of the website underneath them but mine all say uploaded by user, what is the difference? thanks

  30. Pauline says:

Thanks for creating a bit of practice for me!

  31. Rhoda says:

That was so much fun! Thanks for a fab comp Di. x
