Kids Creative Competitions: half-term round up

At www.imaginationcastle.co.uk you can win one of three family trips to Disneyland Paris on 9th May 2014. To enter, your child (aged 3-8) must draw or make a model of their dream castle. Disney will judge the entries and three winners will win the trip, plus Disney will build the castle incorporating elements of the winning entries! Closing date is 24th February 2014.
Win a telescope with Tesco Opticians – you need to ask your child where they would like to time travel to, then tweet to @TescoOpticians, share on Google+ or post the answer on the Tesco Opticians Facebook page. Full details are here and it closes on February 23rd 2014. Adding a photo of a drawing or the destination might be a nice touch?
Relate are running a competition for children to draw or paint their favourite family moment. There are three age categories: 0-5 years, 6-10 years, and 11-16 years and prizes include family tickets to Sea Life centres, Alton Towers, and Go Ape, plus a signed copy of Coco Caramel by Cathy Cassidy. Full details are here – closing date is 23rd March 2014.
I love The Princess and the Pickle and they’re raising money for the Team Honk Sport Relief project by running a lovely colouring competition to win a pair of Muddy Puddles wellies. Simply donate to Sport Relief, print off the colouring sheet and send them your entry via Facebook or Twitter before 23rd March 2014 – full details here.
At Popgirl your daughter can submit a photo of her movie star look to win a girls night in package including a 2 month subscription to Netflix, a bundle of DVDs, a popcorn maker, cosy sleeve blankets, decorations, and a Pop Girl Award. Closing date is 23rd February 2014 – enter here.
The BBC have launched a ‘500 words’ short story competition for two age groups – aged under 9 and aged 10-13. There are three prizes – top prize is Chris Evans’ height in books, second prize is Alex Jones’ height in books and third prize is the entrant’s height in books. Details are here – closing date for entries is 26th February 2013.
Netmums are running their regular photo comps – this month’s theme is kids getting crafty and the winner gets a £100 voucher. Upload your photo here before 31st March 2014.
Build a Marble Run that keeps a marble off the ground for 30 seconds and upload a video to the Fruit Burst website – you could win a Nano V2 Hurricane. A winner will be chosen at random after the closing date, which is down as 31st February 2014, but I would aim for the 28th! We tried this yesterday and failed – 30 seconds is a LONG time!

Not strictly a kids comp, but you might want to organise a photo shoot with Nutella and the family this week as they’re giving away 5000 prizes at nutellastories.com. Enter your story or photo before 2 March 2014 to be in the first draw for chopping boards and aprons, although the comp is running until August.

If you eat with your kids at The Real Greek restaurant on a Sunday you can enter the colouring competition (for under 12s) – every month five winners will win a family meal plus a set of Orion Books. There’s a bit more information on Facebook, where they also mention a ‘grand prize draw’ at the end of the year!
If you have a little girl, Emmys mummy tells us that the current issue of Blossom has a great short story competition in it – the winner gets their story printed in Blossom, plus a visit to their school by the Princess Poppy author, Janey Louise Jones and a bundle of books for themselves and their school library. I’m not sure of the closing date for this but it’s in conjunction with World Book Day on March 6th so be quick!
Get down to your local ASDA superstore this Wednesday (19th February) and your child can create their own Lego Minifigure. Tweet a photo of them with it and you could win a VIP Legoland experience! Full details and participating stores are on the Asda website.

I’ve added a linky list of comps to this post too, as I’m sure more comps will pop up during the week. Have fun – and as always, please let me know if you win any of these!
