Happy Halloween from Grotbags!
Yes, I know Halloween isn’t until tomorrow but we had early celebrations yesterday when my niece came to visit – pumpkin carving, fancy dress and general spooky silliness – so I thought I’d share the photos to get you in the mood!
If you’re of a certain age, you’ll certainly remember Grotbags the Witch from Emu’s All Live Pink Windmill Show on kids TV – and the chants of ‘There’s somebody at the door’! I spotted the wig in a Brighton fancy dress shop and couldn’t resist – I got a couple of talented make up artists to help me out with the face…

This year’s pumpkin designs were by Ryland and his cousin. We added eyeballs (3 for £1 at Tesco!) for extra fun.
Back indoors, I cooked up the pumpkin innards into a delicious risotto with lots of parmesan – ah, I love Halloween!
