My fantasy job interview
Picture the scene. I’m interviewing potential actors to play me in the film of my life – with the working title “SuperLucky: the story of a winner”. Cameron Diaz stumbled at the first hurdle, nervously referring to ‘sweeps’ instead of comps, while Drew Barrymore admitted an irrational fear of Facebook apps.
My final interviewee is the talented Jessica Hynes, a heroine of mine since Spaced graced our TV screens in 1999. It’s tense in the interview room – Jessica needs to be seriously impressive, so here are some of the taxing questions I’d be asking to ensure she would make a believable Di Coke.

“Do you find that a large glass of wine gets the creative juices flowing?”

“Dancing. Do you find yourself doing it at random moments?”

“How would you react if you received a phone call informing you that you’d won a car?”

“Are you happy to wear a variety of unflattering fancy dress costumes?”
“Could you strip from a winter coat to a WonderWoman outfit in exactly 12 seconds?”

Does Jessica get the job? I have every confidence she could step into the role effortlessly, so the job’s hers.
See you at the premiere!
