BritMums Live 2015: your help required!
Last year I was invited to present a session on “The Dos and Don’ts of Blog Giveaways” at BritMums Live, the UK’s biggest two-day social media conference and blogger event. BritMums received lots of positive feedback about the session, and I’m delighted to be presenting again at the 2015 event. At 9.30am on Saturday 20th June I’ll be hosting an updated session called “Prize promotions: everything you need to know”.
Like last year, I’ll be offering advice to bloggers on how to run giveaways fairly and efficiently. I’ll be covering…
- setting up your prize draw or competition – prizes, objectives & formats
- the importance of terms and conditions
- the CAP Code & ASA
- promoting your giveaway
- problems with prizes, PRs and entrants
I’ll keep my session compact this year to allow time for a Q&A!
I know that lots of my readers have strong opinions about blog giveaways, which is why I’d like your feedback to help me with my presentation. I’ve set up two simple anonymous Google surveys that will take a few minutes to complete, and your input is really appreciated. If you’re a blogger who also enters comps, you may want to complete both if you have time!

I wanted to go to this, having just looked at the tickets and the fact that you have to be in trade or a blogger, I will leave it to the ones who know how 🙂

Hmm I am not sure what I would have to say, as there are so many out there now, plus I think I will be looking to see what future interactive media for all, will be apart from blogs/vlogs.

Although I have a blog, I have so few followers, it hardly seems worth running a giveaway! I realise I might get more followers if I ran one, but not sure… after all, it is a blog about the dogs, mainly!
A giveaway is a sure-fire way to increase your followers Rosie! Make sure the prize is appropriate to your target audience though!
