With the weather turning chilly this weekend, I couldn’t resist sharing this winter warmer promotion from Tesco – a chance to win one of 2508 prizes of a microwaveable mug and a can of Crosse & Blackwell soup. Plus everyone goes into the grand prize draw to win lunch for a whole year (or £500 cash)!
This should be an easy promotion to win, because there are loads of prizes, all of them guaranteed to be given away. The 24-hour instant win mechanism means you can improve your chance of a win by trying different entry times, and the limit of one prize per household gives everyone a good chance of a prize!
How to enter

- Click submit to see if you’ve won
- You can enter up to five times each day!
My tips
This is a 24 hour ‘winning moment’ style promotion, with approximately 44 prizes given away in each 24 hour period – a prize roughly every half hour. Each prize will be given to the first person who enters after a ‘winning moment’ – and you have five chances per day. Don’t use up your entries in one batch – if you weren’t the first person to enter after a winning moment, your next entry 30 seconds later is unlikely to be a winner either! Spread them out during the day – or even better, in the early hours of the morning. Try entering the moment you get up in the morning – most normal folk won’t be thinking about instant win comps when they crawl out of bed!

I’ve been lucky enough to win on both the Asda and Tesco competitions – can’t recall the exact time but both were mid-afternoon. I started entering the Tesco one just after midnight but, after a few days with no joy, I switched to entering in the afternoon and won on my second day of trying :o)
did two entries around half past midnight, tried again at 1.52am and won 🙂
Just won at 2:17am was either the broccoli and stilton or the winter veg 😉

It’s hard to say how those work, because the T&Cs aren’t as thorough as this one. And I’m sure people have told me they’ve done 2 or 3 spins at once and won with their last one…. it’s a mystery!!

I love these comps, too. We won a Hermesetas kettle at 20.41, iTunes vouchers from DipDab at 19.46 and the Galaxy Kindle on the last day at 17.59ish. These were all purchase necessary.
Colin the Dorset Cereals Squirrel sent a case of Muesli and he’d disappeared before he jumped at about 18.30.
I do usually enter other regulars when I wake up- V8, Winneroo, Jennings, Yeo – it gets them out of the way.
Perhaps we are all normal because we enter between 5am and 6am, Di.

I love these kinds of comps – have had quite a few wins in the past (won a kindle on the Galaxy one a while back by entering first thing in the morning)
