My January prizes
Welcome to the first Prize Unboxing of 2016, featuring our January prizes – hope you enjoy it!

A few readers have said they’d like to know a bit more about the prizes featured, and how I won them. I deliberately don’t say much as the element of surprise is important in the videos, but I thought I could include a ‘Spoiler’ list of prizes on these accompanying blog posts each month, and publish them the day after the video rather than on the same day… let’s give it a try!

Prizes featured in the January unboxing:
- £150 Ross Poole voucher – won in the @Orderella Twitter party (random draw from all those who tweeted with the hashtag during the party). I spotted the hashtag for the party in my Twitter feed, so joined in!
- Lucky Voice 2 hour Karaoke session for 8 – won from Fairytale Pretty Picture blog in a Rafflecopter random prize draw which was retweeted into my feed.
- Dorset Tea – won in a Facebook comment competition, where you had to share what you were doing on the Boxing Day bank holiday – I posted this photo of Ryland’s Jedi Training birthday party. There were just five entries! I love trying new tea so I tend to check the Facebook and Twitter feed of Twinings, Yorkshire Tea & Dorset Tea regularly to see if there are giveaways.
- Lonely Planet kids books – won from Diary of the Evans Crittens in a Rafflecopter/Tots100 random prize draw from my Blog Comp Linky.
- Russell Hobbs Rice Cooker – won from the Healthy Magazine ’12 days of Christmas’ photo competition with this photo:
- 9 Bar energy bars – won from the @9BarOfficial Twitter #BlueMonday prize draw, where you had to reply to a tweet tagging a friend. I found this one by searching for ‘win #BlueMonday’.
- Tickets to the Destinations Travel Show – won from Cewe Photoworld in an email prize draw advertised on their Facebook page with 100 prizes!
- GHD Arctic Gold hairdryer & styler set, hairbrushes and products – won from @ghdhair on Instagram in their #surprisedselfie Christmas competition with this photo. I check the GHD Instagram feed every week or do as they do regular photo comps!
- Shiseido Perfect Rouge lipstick – won in a Snapchat competition, where you had to respond to their snap with your favourite lipstick shade. This competition was shared by a member in my Lucky Learners group. Snapchat guide coming soon to SuperLucky!
- £75 Trouva voucher (used to get a handbag & joggers) – won on the Trouva Facebook page in a comment competition, where you had to post a link to your favourite unique item from their website. Again, I saw this competition tweeted into my feed and entered late.

Watched my first unpacking video this month – Wow what a great idea to film you opening them. I will have a go myself, when I actually win anything…!!!.. The kids normally ring me or text me when parcels turn up for me asking to open them before I get home from work! But I make them wait and we open them together which is always fun. How many do you find turn up without notifying you beforehand ? – we have had some very strange parcels turn up – one particular was a Wii console with no note left outside! Happy comping and thanks for the videos!
I love your unboxing videos, you are brilliant at motivating us all. I’ve read your book cover to cover and it’s given me so much direction. This month I won £50 Asda voucher via Dolmia pasta pots with Asda, meal for 2 on Valentine’s Day at The View Hotel in Eastbourne – Facebook comp, Corkys hen party pack includes Raspberry glitter booze, shot glasses & L plates etc, £50 wicked wrapping paper comp via Your Home magazine and Compers News, £20 meal for 4 from Cook (frozen) shops. Pretty pleased with my treasures i have to say. Thanks Di, your Twitter feed is great!

another brilliant video – I think ryland must be desperate for snow (just as miss T is) with the slip of the tongue saying ‘snow’ instead of ‘show’. Loved the 9bar prize – We love those and had a win of a box of them in the past. x
I know! I asked him where he would like me to win a holiday to this year, he said ‘Back to New York in the snow!’. No thanks!!!
I won a £50 voucher for Fragrance Direct! I only started comping last Summer and to date had achieved cousin cousin and bath salts, which I was pleased with….so you can imagine my glee at a £50 voucher!!! Ha. Feeling positive 🙂

I was lucky to win a bottle of Prosecco from a Twitter comp, Disney – The Good Dinosaur toy set from click and win, and ‘Logo Grab’ and ‘Shout’ board games from a magazine daily entry comp. One happy Mum and two happy Children! Good luck for February everyone! : )

Love these videos (: I had a pretty slow month to be honest, I seem to have lost my knack a little bit. I need to definitely put a bit more comping time aside this month and get back into the swing of things. Saying that in January I won… A colour in Table Cloth from Little Dish on Instagram – they were giving away 100. I don’t have kids but knew someone at work who would love it :). I also won Hungry Healthy Happy Cook Book and a Maybelline lipstick (SoPost Freebie)
