List of current UK text competitions
If you love text-to-win (SMS) competitions, but don’t want to spend money on the expensive premium rate competitions advertised on TV and radio, here’s a helpful resource! It’s a list of current UK text competitions you can enter for the cost of a standard network rate text (this varies from 1p to 40p depending which network provider you have). The list is split into NPN (no purchase necessary) comps where you can text without buying a product, and PN (purchase necessary) comps where you need to buy the product prior to entry.
- Check out my post on the cheapest way to enter text competitions – a guide to the best network providers for compers.
- You’ll also find lots of tips in my blog post How to Win Text Competitions
- Text comps where a purchase is required are also featured on the Compers Shopping List, which is only accessible to Lucky Legends members (find out how to join at superlucky.me/membership)
- For chat posts about these text entry comps, members can visit the Lucky Legends TTW forum
How to enter a text-to-win competition
When you enter a TTW, you have to send a KEYWORD and may need to include your NAME and sometimes DATE OF BIRTH, POSTCODE or FULL ADDRESS. Occasionally you might need to send the last 4 digits of a product barcode too.
You will usually receive a ‘bounceback’ – depending on the format of the promotion, you will receive either a reply confirming your entry into the draw, a reply with a link to upload a receipt photo, or an instant win/lose message. If you accidentally enter too many times, you should receive a ‘Sorry, you have exceeded the entry limit for this service’ type of message.
If you win a text entry competition, you will usually get a text message congratulating you on your win, although it could be a phone call. Winners may need to email a specific address within a set period to claim their prize, or may be sent a link to a form to complete their details. For some TTWs, particularly those run by PromoVeritas, this form may request bank details. For some TTW comps with smaller cash prizes, you may be texted details of how to claim your prize at a cash machine.
For tips on entering Tesco TTW competitions, see my blog post Tesco Competitions: how to enter the text prize draws. Tesco keywords have optional numbers added to show where you saw the competition (eg. 6 for Tesco website, 2 for Tesco magazine) – these numbers are not included here as it will affect Tesco’s marketing insights.
Unless otherwise stated, all comps listed below are open to UK residents aged 18+. For some comps, you can text multiple times – this is included in the information below.
If you’re unable to text a shortcode, you may have a spend cap on your account – contact your mobile provider to check. Lebara and Lycamobile do not allow any shortcode texts at all.
Remember – all listed comps will cost you standard network rate to enter, unless stated otherwise! New additions are always listed at the top of each section.

Current text-to-win competitions (purchase necessary)
For the following text-to-win promotions, you’ll need to make a purchase, keep hold of your receipt and THEN send your text entry! You will either need to upload a receipt when you enter, or will be asked to send a photo of the receipt if you win. In a few cases, particularly with lower value prizes, winners will not be asked to show a receipt at all – but it’s a big risk to enter without having a receipt.
Where more than one entry is allowed, terms and conditions usually state ‘one itemised receipt per entry’, but generally the promoter will only ask to see a single receipt if you win, so you can buy once then enter daily. If the promoter does intend to ask the winners to send photos of a receipt corresponding to every entry they made, they should make this clear in the T&Cs – see my blog post Purchase-necessary promotions: just one receipt, or one receipt per entry? for more on this.
Most T&Cs will state you need to buy from a ‘participating’ store – this generally means stores advertising the promotion, but even if your store isn’t advertising it, it doesn’t mean they’re not participating (some stores never put promotional posters and shelf labels out on display!)
With Co-op purchase necessary comps, the participating stores are the CO-OP blue logo stores (although some may still have a green storefront outside!) rather than the regional Southern/East of England Co-ops. Check your receipt for the link coop.co.uk/membership to confirm it’s a Co-op.
Only Tesco comps are listed here but you will find more purchase-necessary text comps on the Compers Shopping List – available to Lucky Legends members only.

Hi Di, quick question. I’ve entered so many text comps but have never won and I’m abit stumped, was wondering if you text your full name and postcode or just the first 3 letters and if it matters much. Any extra tips would be appreciated. thanks
Is it just Tesco TTWs that you’ve been doing? Because they do get a LOT of entries now! If you’re texting your full name, then a space, and your postcode (with or without a space in the middle) then that’s fine!
Did you also enter the Batchelors recent TTW – you could enter this one three times so a very good chance of winning!
Hi, thanks for the reply, atm for text comps just sticking to purchase Necessary tesco ones as feel there is a better chance at winning. Will continue to stick with them, I guess with Comping more popular you have to take wins with the losses. But fingers crossed. Thanks once again.
Hi, has anyone won with the Batchelors Save the Day competition? I received a text saying i’ve won a prize and followed the link they gave me last week. The T&C’s say they will email me within 2 days with a code to redeem the prize. However, I haven’t been sent an email.
Has anyone else got their code?
Did you win cinema tickets? A few Lucky Legends say they are still waiting for an email
Thanks
I won 7,500 Pts (£75) via Sheba/Tesco. Looks like will get in/by August CC statement.
Congrats!
Di thank you for listing the TTW comps and for the information on how to enter them. I’ve just won my first one, a £30 e-gift card from the Tropicana Tesco TTW. Inspired to enter more now!
That’s great news – well done Sue!
I had my first TTW win, which I would never have seen but for this page so thankyou!!! I won the Kellogs Crunchy Nut Entertainment Bundle and Im beyond thrilled but also quite shocked.
That’s great news Deborah – congrats!
The Cesar t and c take you to the brewdog t and c. ! I was checking what I could purchase. Thanks for all your hard work totally worth being a paid member
Fixed! The link should be https://digitalcontent.api.tesco.com/v2/media/homepage/99d2039f-0dc3-429d-b3eb-dfbe3616ba8f/Cesar+Tesco+Text+to+Win+Terms_FINAL.pdf
If you use the Compers Shopping List you can use the links there to the forum as a quick reference of products to buy, too!
Hi Di the Jack Daniels competition is one entry per person, not three. Btw do you know if by trying unsuccessfully to enter twice that will disqualify my first entry?
Thanks Michael – that’s been fixed (Felix was used as the template, which is 3 entries!)
And no, further entries are just ignored. They don’t disqualify the first one!
Hi Di,
The Batchelors – Win a Fantastic Four themed trip to New York text comp is 12 entries per mobile number
Thanks Chris – that’s been updated!
Hi Di, is it too early to find out whether Tesco are going to run a Bonne Maman Advent calendar TTW for this Christmas? I know you checked with them about last year and they confirmed they weren’t. Are you planning on contacting them about it this year? If not please could you pass me the contact details of the right department to ask? I love those advent calendar preserves and wouldn’t mind entering to win them instead of sending a small fortune on buying one! Thanks.
I would get in touch with Bonne Maman at https://www.bonnemaman.co.uk/contact and ask!
I didn’t personally check last year, but a Lucky Legend confirmed they weren’t doing it.
Thank you. I’ll let you know what the answer is.
You do get your money’s worth with Bonne Maman for £33?
All the liitle jdaily jars, a large jar of conserve, and 2025 had a light up tableau model of the manger. I contacted Bonne Maman myself – they are very good with chatty replies. Tesco wouldn’t have info about any comps until the promotion arrives.. xx
Just had a e-mail saying I have won a family kettle BBQ c/w cover from Morrisocns Coca Cola promotions, and last week won a £100 voucher from a new hairdresser shop called Bloom in Aberdeen. Will give it to my wife to keep her happy.
I found it myself in the t&c’s but just thought I would mention on the Cheez-it text to win there isn’t the ‘how to enter’ row. Thanks, Becky
Whoops! That has now been added – thanks for pointing it out Becky! Keyword is FESTIVALS
Hi Di, Just hade a phone call from local paper Press & Journal have won a £ 100 pound E-Gift card and won a other £ 100 Voucher from the Sun Newspaper plus received a check from Thats life Magazine for £ 30, happy days,

The Guinness/Morrisons Christmas jumper ttw.Where can I find what the qualifying products are?My enry with the barcode from a 4pack original Guinness from Morrisons has been rejected.have tried 3 times.
There are others who have had barcodes rejected, who have posted on the Legends forum chat post at https://forum.superlucky.me/shopping-list-pn-comps/15486-cd-31-12-guinness-at-morrisons-win-1000-x-xmas-jumper-ttw-wm – one with the same product as yours, and one with a large bottle. I would assume someone has contacted them about this and it will be fixed soon!
Ali Riddoch
Hi Di
I won £200 with the Kettle crisps comp, Thank you as i never used to buy things then tex in the comp.
I have been doing cops for the last 25 years.
When I do the TTW comps with Tesco I do it once with my phone and a couple of days later do it again with my wife`s phone, but when i do it the second time the message comes back saying i have exceeded the limit even though it says one entry per person, Am i doing something wrong.
Do you both have the same name? I can’t imagine why there would be a problem unless you both send exactly the same message!
Sometimes Tesco does send this message incorrectly, and you can enter again the next day. But are you getting it regularly?
Hi Di
It has only happened twice, on the TTW Burgers & TTW Game, My wife is Called Diane and as you know I am Ali so don`t know.
Just rec a text from Tesco have won £ 30 with Alpro the milk.
Must tell you I did a comp in 1996 with Kellogg`s Cornflakes, Had to send in a postcard and tell them where you would like to go on holiday, I think there was 24 Destination prizes over 6 Month. I won a trip to New York with my wife and two kids 16 and 21 year old. We flew from Aberdeen to Southampton & one night in a hotel. Next day limo down to the docks and board the Queen Elizabeth 2, 6 days sailing to New York, Limo to hotel , Stayed for a week and they gave us £ 1000 spending money. After a week the Limo took us to the airport and we flew back to London in Concord.
Stayed a night in London then next day flew back to Aberdeen. That has been my best prize up till now. Di do you remember that one.
That’s before my time Alistair! I started comping in 1997. What a super prize!
Try the GAME TTW again – could it be you texted before it opened?
Is anyone having problems sending the Tesco texts via 1p mobile? I keep getting “not delivered”
Hello Sorry can I check regarding the Tesco/Sunbites competition. There is one where you have to buy a packet and enter receipt closing 16 July on the Shopping List and then there is a similar one above in the Recently closed texts which says 9 July. I am not sure if I missed it although the Tesco T&Cs state 16 July. Many thanks for all you do. !
Yes, it closes on 16th – now updated. Sorry about that!
Hi, just letting you know the Optimum Nutrition T&C’s take you to the Jack Daniels T&C’s, similar prize but different dates and possibly more!
Thanks Lynne – that’s updated now!
Hi Di. hope you are well?
The Tesco TTW competitions often require a receipt to be added/uploaded.
I usually order my qualies online and then click & collect at my local store
What do you think is the best way to attach/upload the emailed Tesco receipts … they are just so long?
Thanks George
I usually open the email, then print it to a PDF (select this instead of a printer).
Then change to a JPEG on the Workintool website at https://www.workintool.com/pdf-converter/pdf-to-long-image.html, tap the big blue + button, then find the receipt PDF on your device. Select a format option (choose ‘twenty in one’ to ensure all pages will be included)
Press the blue download button and tap the download banner at the bottom of the screen to confirm. Tap Open In to open the compressed .zip file in your downloads then double tap to expand it. Inside the folder you’ll find your new long receipt JPEG.
It’s a good idea to tap the share icon and Save Image to save the new receipt JPEG to your device gallery.
Hi Di
Can you advise please. On TTW comps when it asks for date of birth and shows the format in brackets, do you have to include brackets in your text thanks
The brackets aren’t necessary!
Thanks
Won on Kelloggs-set of 16 football kits. Thanks to poster
Well done Elaine!
Hi Di I’ve been entering the daily mail Sudoku, arrow word ect text competitions but never received a bounce back text. Is it normal to not receive one I’ve tried looking for the answer but I can’t seem to find it.
For lots of text comps you don’t get a bounceback message (for example the brand comps you hear on commercial radio!) so I wouldn’t worry. Sometimes it does state in the T&Cs whether or not you should expect one.
Do you get a bounce back text from the Rubicon EID competition? I didn’t but I was just checking the number is correct. 07378905673 above but terms say 077378905673 which has one too many digits.
There’s no bounceback for this one. I queried the number with Rubicon and they said that it’s 07378905673 and there was one too many 7s in the T&Cs – they’re going to update it.
Thanks for the update. I’m happy not to be sending random texts to someone.
Thanks Di, Just had a text from Tesco- Cadburys Text to win comp. Won 4 tickets for a Merlin attraction. Great for the family.
Would not have seen this without your blog.
Super – enjoy your day out!!
Can I check – for the Tesco TTW comps such as Napolina, PG Tips – does the product have to be a promotional one or will the standard packaging still qualify?
Promotional packaging is never required for Tesco Text to win comps!
Thanks I’ve given it a whirl!
Hi what was the Christmas Lindt text competition to 81400 at Christmas please.
You can always search in Lucky Learners for closed comps Donna! See the post https://www.facebook.com/groups/luckylearners/posts/6698394390239351/ for all the Lindt comps
Hi Di, do you know if you are able to enter the Global Make Some Noise text to enter competitions (where you can make a donation or opt out) if you are on a ban from entering the Global radio comps? Thanks Susan
I called Global and they confirmed that the T&Cs apply to all Global comps, so if you were on a 6 month ban you wouldn’t be eligible to win the Make Some Noise comps. T&Cs are at https://global.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/General-Global-Radio-Promotion-Terms-and-Conditions-1-March-2022.LCB_.KG_.pdf
Hello Di
I just wanted to let you know that I have just received a text to say I have won a £300 e-gift card in the Kellogg’s Tesco TTW. I have said it before but thanks for all of the hard work you put in to help other people become winners. You always inspire me to keep comping and I am so happy to get a nice win.
Lovely, congrats Jen!!
Hi Di, I have entered quite a few purchase necessary Tesco, text to win entries, but I have never received a text to say thank you for your entry, does that mean they have not got my entry or am I entering it wrong? I normally upload my receipt first and then click enter now.
With the purchase comps, the on screen message you get after submitting your receipt photo is your confirmation of entry!
I don’t get an on screen message after to say entry has gone through
This is what should happen: you follow the link from the text message, then click to upload your receipt photo – when the photo has uploaded, you can then submit your entry. After a few seconds the screen will change to a message: ‘Your receipt has been uploaded, thank you for entering’.
Hi if you win one of the Tesco TTW are you then disqualified from winning them for a bit?
No, I’m not aware of any other ‘bans’ apart from Bauer, Global and Wireless!
Just had a text to say I’ve won a Bonne Maman advent calendar from Tesco.
Thanks for all your help Di x
Fabulous – enjoy!
The Tesco Lindahls competition ended on 2nd June 2026.
Thanks for flagging up – I’ll get the details updated!
Just ordered an ASDA SIM to start text comps. Out of interest, how successful would you say you are with them?
Checking my stats I’ve won 8 text comps this year, plus a radio text-to-win. The two biggest prizes were a 50 inch TV and a football training session, both with Tesco. I won 10 text comps in 2022, the biggest prize was £1,000 in a Co-op comp.
Seems to be worth it then, Di! Thanks and good luck on passing last years tally!
@Di Coke, Have you got Guinness jumpers purchase necessary text to win listed anywhere please. Can send photo out of Tescos magazine.x
Now added! Thanks Jacquie.
Thanks for letting me know Jenna – now updated to https://www.dessertscompetition.co.uk/!
I won a £20 cinema voucher in the bachelors and batman comp. Thanks Di, I wouldn’t have known about if you hadn’t posted it here
With the tesco competitions, can you shop at tesco express or does it have to be tesco?
For the prize draws that require a purchase, you can buy online or in any Tesco store, including Tesco Metro and Tesco Express.
thank you 🙂
Thanks Steve – now removed from the list!
I think the make some noise, win a trip to New York has the wrong entry date
What makes you think that Sarah – have you seen it advertised elsewhere with a different date? T&Cs state “Entries close at 2pm on Friday 6th October.”
Hi Di, when I clicked on the terms and conditions on the site it stated the date 31st Aug to 6th Oct 2023 for the four nights in NYC promotion. I entered though and got a message saying thanks for entering.
Thanks for the great site, I am enjoying entering some comps.
This is odd as it was advertised at the start of August (see this Facebook post – https://bit.ly/3PcB205) and also says JULY in the T&Cs header. As you say, entries are going through! I think it’s an error and have asked them to change!
Thanks Loretta – I’ve fixed that now, correct link is https://coop.rubiconprizes.co.uk/terms
With the tesco/walkers comp can the same receipt be used everyday?
No, you need a new receipt for every entry with Tesco TTWs
Hi Di, thank you so much for listing Tesco TTW competitions. I got my first iPhone recently and today got first notification of TTW. One of runners up in Evian / Tesco comp (2 refillable bottles ) . Thought it was scam at first since comp finished on 4/7/23, but they just wanted delivery address!
Hi Di – re Tesco TTW comps – in the magazine it always shows the key word with a number at end ie NARSTIE2 . you dont show key word like this – does it matter? Thanks so much for all the help you give us.
Thanks for the question Jenny! I’ve just added this paragraph to the blog post to explain:
Tesco keywords have optional numbers added to show where you saw the competition (eg. 6 for Tesco website, 2 for Tesco magazine) – I do not include these numbers in my listings as it will affect Tesco’s marketing insights.
