Celebrate Independents’ Day UK – and win up to £100!

Independents’ Day UK is this coming weekend, and it’s the perfect opportunity to show some love for the independent retailers you value most – visit them, spend your money, share their social posts and use the #ukindieday hashtag!
As an incentive to shop, Local Rewards are giving ten lucky winners a chance to win back their spend (up to £100) at a local independent retailer.
Local Rewards want to see all the wonderful things you spend on this weekend on your local High Street, and to enter you’ll need to share a photo of coffee, clothes, flowers, furniture, vinyl, vegan snacks… in fact, anything at all you buy at an indie retailer!
Leave a comment on the Local Rewards Instagram post to register yourself for the prize draw, and then complete your entry by sharing a photo of your purchase(s) made at an independent retailer on 2 or 3 July 2022. Each photo will get you a new entry into the draw!
How to enter the Independents’ Day giveaway
- Like the @localrewardschat Instagram competition post (embedded below)
- Follow @localrewardschat on Instagram
- Tag at least one friend in the comments
- Spend at your local independent retailer on 2 or 3 July (Independents’ Day weekend)
- Share a photo of your purchase as a post on your Instagram grid
- In your photo caption, tag the retailer and @localrewardschat – plus add the #ukindieday and #myindiedaybuy tags!
Please ensure you’ve done all the steps above to ensure your entry is valid!
The prize draw is open to UK entrants age 18+. Entries are unlimited (one per purchase) but it’s only one prize per household.
Closing date is 5 July 2022 at 23.59 BST and full terms are at www.localrewards.chat/terms
Local Rewards will DM the winners before 12 July 2022. Winners will be asked to reply with a photo of their receipt or screenshot of their bank statement, confirming their spend at an independent business on 2 or 3 July 2022. Once validated, Local Rewards will arrange the money (up to £100) to be transferred via BACS within 28 days.
This competition will take a little effort to enter, but it’s a great way to show support for your local businesses and I’m sure they’ll appreciate your tags. I hope you’ll get involved – good luck!
