My favourite Christmas memories

This is my entry to win a day trip to Lapland in the Transun bloggers competition, which closes on 21st October 2014. To enter the competition, write a blog post about your favourite Christmas traditions or memories and share with #TransunXMAS.

A fun tradition my husband and I have had since 2006 is to design our own family Christmas card, and this competition is a great excuse to share our most special ones…

2009 – No Room at the Inn

We took this photo at Nottingham’s famous Trip to Jerusalem Inn. Ryland was due on the 23rd December and as we lived on Nazareth Road, we were convinced ‘little baby Jesus’ would arrive on Christmas Day. He actually arrived on Boxing Day, so the festive period is always extra special for us.

2010 – Nativity

At the time I was designing the newsletter for the local farm shop, so I borrowed a manger from their stable for the photo shoot. The house was full of straw for weeks.

2011 – Good Elf!

Taken in our old local, The Johnson Arms in Lenton. The landlord was used to us randomly showing up in fancy dress!

2012 – Christmas Jumpers

This photo was inspired by cheesy 70s LP sleeves. Much to Ryland’s delight, our tree was put up in November to ensure the cards were printed in time…

If the Cokes are lucky enough to win a trip to Lapland, you can be assured this year’s Christmas card will be something really special!
