Find a Golden Dough Ball and win a £1,000 Pizza Express gift card!

Pizza Express are celebrating their birthday by giving away an amazing 55 prizes of a year’s supply of pizza – with the promotion ending on 27th March, exactly 55 years since they served up their first slice of pizza! So how can you win one of these amazing prizes? You’ll need to find a Golden Dough Ball!

The prizes

Each of the 55 winners will receive a year’s supply of pizza – supplied as a £1000 PizzaExpress gift card, which will be sent by email and valid for 24 months.

Where to find the golden dough balls

The Ball Drop

35 golden dough balls will be hidden in 7 outdoor locations in UK & Northern Ireland. Follow PizzaExpress on Instagram to get a warning of the next location and date – then watch their Instagram Stories for clues to the exact location. You’ll need to be quick to win the treasure hunt!

Deliveroo Orders

Twelve golden dough balls will be randomly sent out in PizzaExpress orders made through Deliveroo – you will need to order in one of these cities over these lucky weekends:

  • Cardiff (15th & 16th February 2020)
  • Edinburgh (29th February & 1st March 2020)
  • Plymouth (14th & 15th March 2020)


Eight Golden Dough Balls are hidden in the limited edition Pizza Express Dough Ball packets. Buy these at supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, Ocado, Booths, Nisa and Budgens. Products in the promotion are Original Dough Balls 95g, Original Dough Balls 200g, Original Dough Balls 300g, and Cheese and Garlic Dough Balls.

What to do if you find a Golden Dough Ball

Open the Golden Dough Ball and scan the QR code from the slip inside – it will open an online entry form where you should enter the unique code inside the Golden Dough Ball. If you’re the first person to find and enter the code, you win!
