My April Prizes

Welcome to our monthly Prize Unboxing and wins round up – featuring an April guest unwrapper! I’ve been asked if we open parcels on camera that turn out not to be prizes, and what our reaction is – so this month I’ve left one of those in the final edit too!

Hope you enjoy the unboxing and have a marvellous May…

If you’d like to know a bit more about the prizes featured, here’s the list…

Spoiler alert!

Prizes featured in the April unboxing:

  • £100 Tesco gift card – won in a @TubeMapLondon Instagram competition to take a photo of a Easter Egg on public transport, with this photo:

EasterEggOnBus

  • Kneepal – won on Twitter, in a RT & Reply prize draw from @KneepalUK
  • Children’s book selection – from @HachetteKids on Instagram. This was a simple prize draw from anyone who left a comment on their giveaway photo.
  • Hotel Chocolat chocolates – won in a creative Easter Instagram competition for SoFab Facebook group members, with this photo (you can see our chocolate egg was well travelled before we ate it!)

HappyEggDevilsDyke

  • Collier’s Powerful Welsh Cheddar & coolbag – Collier’s do a regular competition on their Facebook page to nominate a #workforcehero. I nominated our Lollipop Lady, and was rewarded with cheese!
  • Cardboard 3D Viewer – won on the Clas Ohlsen Facebook page. The post stated that the first five to comment would win – I opt to get notifications for their posts as it’s a favourite shop of mine, so I was the first to comment. If you want to get notifications on your own favourite pages, click ‘Following’ on their profile page and choose ‘All posts’.
  • £10 Hobbycraft voucher – Ryland and I entered the Yakult creative competition to make something out of their bottles. We didn’t win with our game, but they sent a £10 voucher out to say thank you. Here’s our entry:

YakultGame

  • Messi Foot Bubbles – won in a regram prize draw with @SmythsToys on Instagram.
  • Lotus Biscoff cookbook – one of fifty they gave away in their Pancake Day photo competition from my linky. You had to feature Biscoff in the photo, and I tweeted this:

BiscoffEyes

  • Bonne Maman gift box and cookbook – won in a prize draw advertised in their newsletter.
  • Kobo e-reader – won in a Primary Times website World Book Day competition with a photo of Ryland dressed as Wimpy Kid Greg Heffley.

WimpyAtSchool

  • £1000 cash – won in the Nationwide ‘Then & Now’ competition on the Heart website, which had seven weekly winners. I submitted a recreation of a 1983 photo of me in my Brownie uniform. I actually took this photo a couple of years ago for a bloggers competition (which I didn’t win) so it just goes to show, it can be worth recycling photos. Always check T&Cs thoroughly first though, as some photo comps will state you can’t enter a photo that has been entered into a competition previously. Check out Heart’s current promotions here – they do some excellent judged comps!

What a great month! I love reading your winning videos. I got really lucky this month- by far my biggest wins yet! I won:

£1400 (!!) of hotel vouchers, a smart home monitoring kit and a big bundle of personalised things for my puppy with the Panasonic myVIP photo competition- so excited about this as we’ve been saving up to go to London for ages 🙂
£100 from That’s Life magazine sudoku
Tickets to DogFest in Cheshire in June with a gleam comp
Nutribullet with premier stores prize draw
Personalised photo frame for Molly, our puppy with a competition where you had to guess the name on the frame- if it was your dog you won it.

I love watching your unboxings, I get all excited for you! – as for me, it’s the first in a long time that I’ve not won anything, never mind I’ll keep my fingers crossed for May X
