My Tots100 Printerpix competition entry

Tots100 and Printerpix currently have a family photo competition running, with a top prize of a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 camera plus £100 to spend with Printerpix. I’m entering the ‘family portraits’ category with this photo I took of my family last year. My parents live in Porthcawl and when we visited in summer, Ryland wanted to sit on one of these seats on the promenade. Grandad swiftly joined him, followed by Nan and Daddy. My dad has this habit of singing, shouting and cheering (that’s what comes from being a football fan!) and when he started waving his arms in the air they all joined in.

It’s my favourite photo of last year because it reminds me how daft all my family are and how much I love being with them! My dad is 82 and Ry was 2 when this was taken – having young children and older parents really helps you appreciate moments like this and even if I don’t have my camera with me, I use my iPhone to capture them!
