Red Nose Day competitions 2015

Red Nose Day is on Friday 13th March this year – so get your nose on, and help Comic Relief raise money to transform the lives of millions of people, both in the UK and across Africa!  This year the Team Honk gang are at Wembley for a six hour Danceathon and you can donate to help them reach their £50,000 fundraising target here!

There are already a few Red Nose Day comps about, no doubt with lots more photo comps on the day itself – here are a few to get you started…

When you buy your red nose this year (£1, with 60p going to charity), it will come in a sealed bag – and TWELVE of those bags will contain a special GOLD nose. If you find one before 11 March 2015 then you’ll bag first class travel to London, a special tour of the BBC Broadcasting House, go backstage with celebrities at the Palladium, dine in a private room at Jamie’s Kitchen, meet Comic Relief artists at the show and an overnight stay! 9 of the 12 gold noses are at Sainsbury’s stores so pick your nose ASAP – full details are at www.rednoseday.com/golden-nose.

On the main Red Nose Day site you can win a Toyota Auris at https://prizes.rednoseday.com and a Toyota Yaris at https://prizes.rednoseday.com/toyota100. Somewhat confusingly, if you enter the Yaris bonus draw you get an entry into the Auris draw too! Each £2 donation gets you an entry in the prize draw but legally they also have to offer a free entry method. By either method, entries are limited to 50 – personally, I’ll be making a donation but then topping up with free entries! Over at Le Coin de Mel, you can win a £50 Homesense voucher with your funny Red Nose Day bakes! Create and photograph your cake, then send it to Mel via Twitter or Instagram (@lecoindemel) or email it before 6 March 2015. Specsavers branches across the UK are selling comedy glasses to raise money for Comic Relief – The Stirling Observer is offering readers the chance to win a camera worth £139.99. Send a selfie of you wearing the glasses to news@stirlingobserver.co.uk or via Facebook or Twitter. All the info is here – closing date is 6 March 2015.

Other Specsavers branches are running promotions too – there’s a raffle in the Bath store, photo comp at the Braintree store, a comp for the most creative specs at the Cirencester store and a prize draw to win designer frames at the Wimbledon store- it’s worth checking to see if your local Specsavers is doing something special too!

The Princess and the Pickle have a Red Nose Day colouring competition where you could win a £50 Boden voucher or one of two goodie bags. To enter, print off the colouring sheet and share your finished design on their Facebook page or Twitter. The main prizewinner is chosen at random and the runners up are judged in two categories (under 8s and 9+).  Closing date is 16 March 2015 – full details on the blog and they would appreciate donations if you enter!
