Show us your Shoes
Today’s shoes are a lovely new pair of Reiss ‘Sandy’ sandals, purchased using a gift card that I won from the Isklar photo competition on Facebook! I imagine Kate Middleton is probably sporting exactly the same pair… or is it bad form to reveal your toes when you’re a Duchess?
As far as shoes go, I have a bit of an eclectic mix in my wardrobe. I won a pair of amazing Carvela platform heeled boots from SegSox this year, and a lovely pair of grey Converse AllStars from Cloggs, and bought a great pair of Kooples skull-encrusted flats on my Ford Ka shopping trip to Paris. Back in 2006 I won the ultimate shoe lover’s prize from Elle Magazine – a year’s supply of KG shoes; I could choose a pair of my choice every month for a year! Elle ran the very same competition two years later and amazingly I won again – as you can imagine, the girls in the Nottingham Kurt Geiger shop became vey good friends of mine. I was able to get shoes for my husband and friends too, and I still wear lots of them now – including my very favourite pair of pink patent Mary-Janes (I got these from Kurt Geiger in London to wear on a prize trip to the BAFTA Awards!)

The first time I won the year’s shoes was from an entry form in Elle, then the next time it was a postcard entry so I sent a postcard with a photo of some shoes on – the first prize was under my maiden name and the second win under my married name. The best part was getting loads of free gorgeous winter boots which I still wear now! I’ve had many wins from entry forms in magazines, and they’re still relatively low entry competitions!
Thats amazing and a lot of shoes, did you win the years supply of shoes from a coupon from the magazine? This would be my dream prize!!!!
