The ten best prize promotions of 2025
by Di · Published · Updated
Now that another comping year is wrapping up, it’s time to recap the prize draws and competitions we enjoyed the most! This year, I asked the SuperLucky community to complete a survey to rate the shortlist, and share feedback on their favourites before compiling the list. I also asked them to vote for the worst promotion of the year!
So, here’s our top ten prize promotions of 2025. This year’s list includes prize draws, instant wins, and photo competitions. Some of these promotions were chosen for the high quality prizes, some because they were creative and fun, and others because there was such a good chance of winning. How many of these comps did you win a prize in? I entered 9 and won prizes in 6 of them!

Also can I say a massive THANK YOU if you discovered any of the comps mentioned below and took the time to share the details with me or post them on the Lucky Legends forum – it’s much appreciated!
If you want to be the first to hear about promotions which give you the best chance of winning, then check out Lucky Legends membership – just £5 a month gives you access to the private forum where you can find a list of recommended “star comps” and the compers shopping list, plus monthly live broadcasts full of winning tips!
1. Royal Mail Magical Card Prize Draw
With less people sending cards in the post now, this was a well-timed and heart-warming campaign by Royal Mail to motivate us to start writing again! Buy a 2025 Christmas stamp and send a card in the post, writing Magical on the envelope. Then upload a photo of the card and complete your recipient’s details at royalmailmagic.com. Every day 21 pairs of winners are drawn, with both the sender and recipient winning a prize. Plus, one top prize winner will be drawn on Christmas Eve and win £100,000! It may seem like a lot of effort, but with 1,054 cash prizes on offer, Lucky Legends members knew it was worth it and started swapping cards with each other. There’s also some lovely content on Royal Mail’s social media showing the winners receiving their prizes.

2. Whitworths Nutrient Power Draw
The Whitworths free entry instant win ran for four weeks, with 1,000 packs to be won every day. The prize coupon was valid for a purchase up to £3.50, and you could win multiple times, so compers were able to stock up on lots of tasty fruit and nut snacks!

3. Bonne Maman Le Creuset Bowls
This was a brand match made in heaven! You had to buy a Bonne Maman dessert and enter the unique code from inside the packaging on their website for a chance to instantly win a red Le Creuset bowl. There were a very generous 5,000 prizes awarded.
FEEDBACK: “The bowl is such high quality and something we will use but wouldn’t normally buy ourselves – and their desserts are delicious!”

4. Mac’n’Cheesehead Selfie Competition
The only judged competition in our top ten this year, VeeTee asked their Instagram followers to buy 2 pouches of Mac’n’CheeseHead and share a creative selfie. There were a whopping 44 prizes – each week for 4 weeks VeeTee chose a MacBook winner and ten Airpods winners. Lucky Legends loved the creative challenge, and created some exceptional and hilarious winning entries!

5. KP Nuts for Darts
KP teamed up with Luke Littler for their Nuts for Darts free entry promotion. Each day, there were four prize draws, each one open for 180 minutes and with a £180 cash prize. A fun way to run a prize draw, with lots of chances to win!
FEEDBACK: “I like a competition that gives everyone an equal chance” and “with 4 prizes per day it felt more enjoyable to play along”

6. Dairylea - Get £50 off at Trainline
The Dairylea on-pack promotion with Trainline was marketed as more of an offer, rather than a chance to win a prize. Essentially, if you were one of the first 65 people to enter their details and barcode each day, you were guaranteed a £50 Trainline voucher – a popular, practical prize. This meant many compers staying up until midnight for their chance to win – most of the SuperLucky community said they enjoyed the challenge, but others felt frustrated because they weren’t quick enough to submit their forms. Luckily, after some claims were rejected, more prizes became available later in the day at a reasonable hour!

7. PG Tips Lucky Dips
In their generous Lucky Dips on-pack promotion, PG Tips gave away a hundred instant win prizes of £1,000 cash plus 500 prizes of a year’s tea – and there were also 20,000 coupons for £1 or £6 (actually conveniently supplied as supermarket gift cards). The instant win format was nicely executed, with a ‘grabber’ machine picking up a prize on screen for the lucky winners.

8. Find a Doritos Square
Doritos and Minecraft partnered on a traditional on-pack promotion in February, where you could enter unique codes from packaging online and win cash or merchandise prizes. But the best part was that they added a real life treasure hunt element – a hundred packets had been filled with square Doritos, and were distributed in five UK supermarkets. Clues were posted in newspapers and online and hopeful compers hunted down the winning packets – their reward was a cash prize of either £250 or £10,000! Teamwork made the dream work for Legends members, as we solved the clues and also noticed in the T&Cs that the winning packets had a phone number printed on the back, so were easily distinguishable from the regular packs on the shelves!
FEEDBACK: “Loved the treasure hunt style and was so exciting to find a winning bag!”

9. Creme Egg ‘Admit It’
The Cadbury Creme Egg instant win promotion has been a regular fixture on the calendar for years now, but for Easter 2025 they changed the format. Instead of physically placing ‘Willy Wonka’ style winning chocolate eggs in stores around the UK, Cadbury switched to an online entry format. To enter the ‘Admit It’ promotion, you bought an egg, then entered the barcode and batchcode online, and admit how you eat your Crème egg! There were 263 instant cash prizes, awarded by a ‘winning moments’ format, plus four £1,000 prize draws. This new format gave compers a massive advantage, and all five of the £10,000 top prizes were won by delighted Lucky Legends members. The 2026 promotion has already kicked off, so do get involved.
FEEDBACK: “Up there as one of the best of the year. Incredibly generous and one for us compers!”

10. Jammie Dodgers win Nerf Super Soakers
The SuperLucky community loves the chance to enter daily prize draws, especially when there’s loads of prizes! Promotional Jammie Dodgers were cheap to buy, and you could then enter your barcode daily until you won. There were 100 winners of a Nerf Super Soaker every day for 90 days!
FEEDBACK: “A generous promotion with prizes that the kids loved”
Near misses…
There were lots of other fantastic prize draws and competitions that didn’t quite make it onto the top ten list…
- The McCain Alphabites photo competition was a fun creative challenge with a top prize of £1,000 Waterstone’s vouchers.
- The Coca-Cola & Powerade free to enter weekly draws had 450 good quality Adidas prizes.
- The McCain Regenfries game was creative and fun, but divided the community as some loved it and some hated it!
- Florette Tasty Escapes – after only awarding 3 of the 100 holidays prizes in their 2024 promotion, they changed to a guaranteed winning moments format for 2025 and we had lots of winners!
- Tuk-in Nans ran a fun photo prize draw on Instagram and gave away loads of prize Sainsbury’s vouchers, but they kept changing their minds about the rules and terms.
- Win your lunch on Lipton was a free to enter promo with 201 weekly prizes of £5 Tesco vouchers plus 4 top prizes of £1,825 gift cards!
…and the WORST competition of 2025?

Tropicana Peel A Deal
‘Peel a Deal’ was an on-pack promotion where shoppers bought individual bottles of Tropicana, Naked, or Copella juices, scanned a QR code on pack, then uploaded a photo of their receipt for a chance to win instant prizes like flights, tech, and gift cards. This was an algorithmic win promotion, and Tropicana stated the chance of winning a prize was 1 in 92. This sounded decent – but after reading the small print, 241,000 of the advertised prizes are a £3 or £4 voucher, meaning the chance of winning one of the 755 real prizes was just 1 in 29,458. On the Lucky Legends forum we had 3 voucher winners, and didn’t hear of anyone winning a ‘proper’ prize at all. Very disappointing.
FEEDBACK: “misleading”, “impossible to win” and “a slim chance of a win on an expensive purchase”
But which other comps got a thumbs down?
- Even though it was voted the worst comp of 2024, Carex had the cheek to run their misleading instant win promotion for a second consecutive year. In order to win a prize, you had to enter during a precise winning moment, but we were not told how long this was. There were 8,450 sets of 4 theme park tickets to be won – but we only heard of 3 winners. “Another year of a well publicised, really poor competition with minimal chance of winning!”
- Shein gave away lots of £400 flights on Instagram, but prize fulfilment was painful, and winners struggled to claim because of the automated chat bots.
- The Belvoir Mark Warner holidays on-pack promotion was another algorithmic instant win – and the handful of winners had great difficulty claiming their prizes: “The top prizes would be so wonderful but they didn’t feel remotely achievable to win, it was a real disappointment.“
And that’s it for my list of 2025’s best and worst prize promotions! Leave a comment to let me know which were your top comps this year – did you win a prize in any I’ve mentioned here?
