A trio of wins

You might have noticed that my comping has taken a back seat this summer – instead, Ryland and I have been out and about enjoying the sunshine, welcoming visitors to our Brighton home, day-tripping round the South coast and generally having a massive laugh! But last week I realised I’d have to pull my novelty socks up as I’ve seen my talented blog readers picking up fabulous prizes here there and everywhere. So in a last minute dash to get August entries in, I spent a day with Ryland taking photos for a handful of nice creative competitions – and I’ve had three big wins as a result!

Prize 1: £500 John Lewis vouchers

Since June we’ve been converting our two downstairs rooms into one big room – an office, gym and family room all in one, and also had our garden completely redesigned. Perfect timing then, for the Origin Bifolds #CavetoCrib competition, which I spotted on their Pinterest page. We had installed a set of grey Origin doors to replace the old French doors, so I tidied up, took a few photos of the transformation and posted my entry on their Facebook page – I was delighted when they emailed on Tuesday to say I won £500 John Lewis vouchers!

Prize 2: £150 Tiles & £50 Dunelm voucher

On Thursday I checked the Walls and Floors Facebook page to find I’d won their #WallsandFloorsloves competition. I knew this wouldn’t get many entries, as you had to print off an A4 sheet and take it out and about with you to find interiors inspiration! Windy Brighton Beach was my choice of location, and I’ve won £150 of tiles and a £50 Dunelm Mill voucher. I’d love to win a whole new kitchen and the tiles are a great start.

Prize 3: Flights to America

After taking our pebbly photograph, I treated Ry to an ice cream sundae at JBs Diner on Brighton seafront, where with the help of a charming waitress we took a photo for the Gatwick Airport ‘Americana in the UK’ Instagram competition. I live close to Gatwick so always keep a close eye on their social media accounts for new competitions – I found out yesterday that we’ve won a pair of flights to America with Norwegian Airlines!

It just goes to show – if you put the effort in, you’ll reap the rewards! This trio of wins has definitely given me the incentive to find and enter more creative competitions.
