Valentine’s themed creative comps
Do you have plans for Valentine’s Day this year? I’ll be flying off to New York with my loving husband. But don’t think it’s all dancing and romancing – the loving five year old is coming along too! But just because I’ll be out of the country doesn’t mean I won’t be getting involved in a few of these cheesy Valentine’s themed comps that are already popping up….
As with Christmas, each year promoters ask the same questions on Facebook and Twitter, so you might want to have a think about your answers and make a note of them somewhere you can easily access them – using the Notes function on your phone, or maybe a document on Google Drive. Find a few photos of you and your loved one too – unusual or funny ones as well as the classic wedding shots, and save these to your phone camera roll so you have them handy! And poems are always popular, so be sure to check out my favourite wordy site www.rhymezone.com for ideas!
Here are some of the most common love-themed competition questions you might see:
- How did your partner propose?
- What’s the best date you’ve been on?
- What’s the worst date you’ve been on?
- What romantic meal will you be preparing for your loved one?
- What’s your favourite love song?
- Complete the poem ‘Roses are red, violets are blue….’
Valentine’s Day creative comps: my top picks

Here’s a nice one from Everydayhero to win £1750 for a charity of your choice (plus runners up prizes of £500 and £250). Take a photo of yourself holding up a poster that says ‘I love (charity name) because (why you love them)’ . Winners are judged on creativity and originality.
You can win a Kindle Fire by completing the (tricky!) Globelink Valentine’s quiz and completing the tiebreaker question ‘If you could spend your Valentine’s Day anywhere in the World – where would it be and why?’ – this closes on 14th February 2015.
Your local shopping centres, radio stations and restaurants are likely to be running comps too so have a browse of their Facebook pages to see what you can find.
I’ve also included the usual linky list below. I’ll add more fun comps as I spot them, or feel free to add to it yourself – have a LOVE-ly time!

Di, thanks for all the work you do putting together your links for comps to enter. After going through your Valentine’s link above I got round to entering 5.
Taking the time to review the comps I really wanted to enter certainly paid off as I won £440 of Pandora Jewellery with this Pinterest board https://www.pinterest.com/sandrabald/my-perfect-valentines-day/
