Weekend winners

Selfies are still a really popular choice for a competition theme – one of the great advantages is that they tend to prevent cheating, because the entrant MUST feature in the photo! My winners this week all got lucky with their selfies…

Anne took a selfie with her favorite barista – and won a coffee machine!

“One of my favourite wins was a recent win with Sage Appliances, of a £550 barista express coffee machine for me and one for my favourite barista. The Ts&Cs stated it had to be a real barista and when I looked on Twitter most people had just posted pics of their other half saying they made a great cup of coffee! I decided to go to my local coffee shop with the #ilovemybarista hashtag on some card and put on my Sage apron. I asked Katherine who worked there if i could buy a coffee and get a picture together. It only took five minutes and not a huge amount of embarrassment to get a nice snap together. I was, and continue to be, utterly thrilled with my beautiful new machine (as is Katherine, who is in the process of buying a new house and needed new appliances!). It was such a generous prize and I was surprised how few people actually made the effort to take a picture in their local coffee shop.”

Proving that a fancy dress box can help you win prizes, Amy donned her pink wig for this winning photo…

“I’m not the best at creative comps, but thought I’d have a go at the A2 milk daily comp that Di shared on Facebook. I made a bit of a fool of myself in the photo, but won £100 of Tesco vouchers!”

Lauren was surprised to win a magazine.co.uk voucher, Jane Norman voucher & Urban Decay palette with her photo on the theme of ‘winter style’:

“I don’t usually do photo competitions! Lots of entrants looked all glamorous in glitzy dresses so I didn’t think I would win with a photo of me in my Christmassy red coat!”

Lynn won a lovely prize from Dove – a VIP makeover in London!

“I entered the Dove #100 colours competition on twitter. You had to tweet your most colourful selfie. So I put on the most colourful top I could find and stood next to part of a decal I have on a wall at home which is also pretty colourful. I was notified that I had won a VIP makeover. What I actually got was a trip to London for me and three friends – train fare paid for (£200), a stylist session at Debenhams on Oxford Street for us all and a £75 gift card for each of us followed by a Champagne tea at Sketch London worth £210.”

Munch Bunch were super generous with their iPad prize draw, with fifty daily winners! Lots of SuperLucky readers got lucky with their Squashums selfies… like Keena, who recruited a friend to comping too.

“I was determined to win and printed off the colouring-in pictures – I went home and coloured in several (this was definitely an effort comp for me!). I then took a few photos of me and one of my boys and entered. I was lucky enough to win in the first week and was thrilled! I then passed on the pre-coloured masks to friends and one of them also won an iPad!”

Finally, I was delighted to hear from Bulgarian SuperLucky fan Maria, who won a CD with her Movember selfie:

“The condition was to make a picture with a makeshift mustache. I took a marker and drew a mustache on my index finger. Then took my iPhone and made some selfies, and used the “Pic-it collage” on my phone to make a collage!”
