What was your favourite prize in 2021?

2021 hasn’t been a great year in the world of fun competition prizes. I was hoping for experiences, holidays, concerts and so much more! But Covid-19 certainly put paid to that… for the second year running.

But despite the coronavirus cloud hanging over us, I still had some great wins (more of that in My Comping Year blog post, coming soon!) and my favourite prize of the year had to be a £15,000 gold can, plus £10,000 of shares in Brewdog!

If you’re a regular SuperLucky reader you’ll know the full story about this win! In a nutshell, it materialised that the £15k gold can was in fact gold-plated and only worth £500. But after several ASA reports, emails to Brewdog and my furious blog post – Brewdog offer a gold can ‘apology’ – but it’s a kick in the teeth for the winners, Brewdog had offered to buy back the cans for £15,000 from all 28 winners. As you can imagine, this felt like a huge success!

I love to hear all about my readers’ favourite prizes and comping adventures too – so as usual I’m running my annual competition, where you tell me about YOUR favourite prize of the year in a tweet. All tweets with the hashtag #MyFavourite2021Prize will go into a prize draw, and I’ll choose one winner at random and reward them with £50 cash!

So whether it’s a packet of M&Ms, a PS5 or a year’s supply of biscuits – tell me all about it on Twitter. And please do include a photo if you have one!

This year the best winning is (small list but tough to decide):
Either, Vedantika’s Creative Earth Art Competition winning for COP26 and attending Reception at 10 Downing Street including pictures with UK PM
Or, Overall winner in Poster Competition by National Space Centre and received gift for whole class visit to the Centre & Poster made place on the wall of new POD at National Space Centre

My favourite one wasn’t only about the prize but was the competition I most enjoyed entering which was your Lucky Learner’s 10,000 members comp!!! Had lost my creative mojo for a while so it was definitely one of my comping highlights, not just for 2021, but since forever, as being a judged winner by your comping hero is a feeling that was totally amazing!! Thank you for all you do! x

Oh that was a nice comp, I’d forgotten it was this year! I must do another judged one in the group for 2022 – maybe a photo or video one!
