World Book Day Competitions

It’s that time again when parents start to panic! Yes, World Book Day is on Thursday 2 March this year, so you’d better get busy planning your child’s costume. There are usually plenty of prize-winning opportunities for World Book Day, although most of them won’t appear until the day itself.

I’ve linked to a few fun WBD comps in this post – but also added my regular ‘Linky List’ at the end, so I’ll be adding links to more photo comps as I spot them closer to the big day!

Have you got any costume ideas yet? We had fun last year creating a Wimpy Kid costume for Ryland, which won a few prizes! The mask was made from white foam board, we cut a hole for the mouth and stretched some old black tights over it so Ry could see through it. Then we just bought cheap white football socks and gloves on eBay.

There are loads of brilliant costume ideas around, so I’ve created a Pinterest board with some inspiration… I always think the Roald Dahl ones look amazing!

So, onto the competitions…. here are a few of the World Book Day comps I’ve already spotted…

Win Yvolution scooters

Good to Know are giving away two scooters and a set of five outdoor toys in their World Book Day comp. Share your costume photos on social media using #GTKlittlebookworms before 10th March 2017 – full details are here.
