Waitrose purchase-necessary competitions
Waitrose regularly features competitions on their website which require a purchase, either in store or online. These offer a good chance of a win because they’re not generally advertised in store, and only occasionally mentioned in their free ‘Weekend’ newspaper – so entry numbers can be low!
To enter these competitions, you’ll have to purchase a specific product at Waitrose, then enter the number from your receipt (or your online order number) in the entry form on their Competitions page. Winners are drawn at random – they may be emailed, or quite often the prizes are posted straight out to the winners.
You can find the dedicated Waitrose competitions page at http://bit.ly/WaitroseComps – some of the comps require a purchase, others are free prize draws.
Tips:
- You can buy all promotional products on one transaction and use the same receipt or order number in multiple entry forms
- Check the GreenJinn, CheckoutSmart and Shopmium apps (use my referral code KYHMFYMF in the Shopmium app for a free chocolate voucher!) just incase you’re able to use your receipt to get cashback on any products you buy!
Here’s the details of current purchase-necessary promotions on the Waitrose website:

Sadly I don’t have a Waitrose near me and I’m not going to do an online shop just for a few items.
Sadly no walkers crisps at my local Waitrose, doesn’t look like they are going to stock them either
The picture of the cheerios on the Waitrose blog have a bee in the bottom left corner.
Ah, no sign of those in store yet then! I’m guessing the barcode won’t change so a regular non-promotional pack would be the same on a receipt – I’ll let you know when I find one!
