KitKat Break Free – win a £10,000 dream road trip!

KitKat have another fabulous on-pack promotion for 2022! The Nestlé KItKat Break Free promotional packs are already in the shops, but although it’s fine to buy them now, you won’t be able to enter until 10 January.

There’s two parts to the promotion, both with the same £10,000 Dream Road Trip prizes – a ‘Willy Wonka’ style instant win with five prizes, and online prize draws with ten prizes!

KitKat Dream Road Trip prizes

There are 15 amazing bespoke €/£10,000 dream road trips to be won in total. Winners will liaise with Cloud Nine Incentives to create their perfect trip, including flights (either domestic or international), accommodation (with a maximum number of nights totalling 28), car hire, airport transfers and local excursions or tours.

There are no restrictions to the number of guests travelling with the winner, so long as the maximum budget of €/£10,000 is not exceeded. The budget can also be used to cover holiday insurance and Covid-19 cover if required, and winners have until 31 December 2023 to take their trip.

  • If you’re one of the 5 lucky people to find a winning insert inside your KitKat packaging, you’ve instantly won a Dream Road Trip! Call the number on the insert to claim your prize before 31 December 2022
  • Don’t worry if you don’t win instantly though – there’s still a Dream Road Trip to be won every week, from 10 January until 6 March 2022 (8 prizes in total).
  • If you miss the main promotional period, there are also two late entry draws, each with a road trip winner – closing dates are 31 July 2022 and 31 December 2022.

And don’t worry if you can’t drive, or don’t want to drive (or if you’re under 25, which is stated as the minimum age for car hire for this promotion) – the terms and conditions state that alternative solutions will be made available to ensure you still get your dream trip!

How to enter the KitKat Break Free weekly prize draws

  • Buy a promotional ‘Break Free’ KitKat product – it’s on individual bars as well as multipacks – and keep your receipt and packaging safe! It’s absolutely fine to purchase before the 10th January start date.
  • Enter your name, email address, and the last four digits of the barcode number from your pack at
  • The weekly draws close every Friday between 16 January and 6 March 2022, and prize winners will be informed by email.
  • If you miss the weekly draws you still have a chance to win in the two late entry draws, closing on 31 July and 31 December 2022.
  • Each person can enter twice a day, but you should have a separate unique receipt for every entry you make.

If you’re a weekly draw winner, you will be contacted by email and will need to complete the verification process, where the promoter will ask to see a photo of your receipt and promotional wrapper. It could be that they also ask to see your additional wrappers and receipts from your other (losing) entries – but this hasn’t been confirmed!

A barcode number is unique to a product type – for example a KitKat Chunky Peanut Butter bar will have exactly the same barcode no matter which shop you buy it in.

The promotion is open to UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), Isle of Man, Channel Island and Republic of Ireland residents aged 18+. There’s a No Purchase Necessary route for Northern Ireland residents: send your name, age, full postal address and email address to: KitKat® Win a Road Trip Holiday Promotion NPN, Consumer Services, Nestlé UK Ltd, Haxby Road, York, YO91 1XY. You can only send 2 NPN entries in total.

You can only win one prize per household (address).

Hi. Camn you confirm that a ‘winning bar’ would also be accompanied by a notification or ticket in the pack? Either way it’s past the deadline of 31st Dec. My son is convinced he had a lucky break bar but there’s definitely not confirmation in the pack.

    • Di says:

There’s definitely a winning ticket inside the pack – there always is with the chocolate ‘Willy Wonka’ competitions, to ensure the winner doesn’t miss out if they eat it before realising!

Di can you clarify – can we use the same 2 receipts each day to enter twice a day and then use the same receipts the following day – how will they know what receipt corresponds to what day?

    • Di says:

Terms state “Each entry to the prize draw must be a separate purchase with a corresponding itemised receipt in order for the entry to be valid.” – so you should have a new receipt for every entry you make. They might ask the winner to provide a single receipt matching the barcode from their winning entry, or they might ask the winner to provide that receipt PLUS a receipt to match the barcode from every losing entry too (although I think this is unlikely!). Really, it’s up to you whether to risk it or not!

is a receipt necessary, or can i just keep the packet as proof. as i dont have a receipt.

  4. LOUISE says:

So can we use the same barcode every day, twice a day?

Hi Di, what an amazing prize! I’ve already brought a promotional pack kitkat, but am I right in thinking that as the promotional period does not start until 10th January, then my receipt won’t be valid if I enter the competition and win?

    • Di says:

In most cases your receipt will be valid – in the case of on-pack promotions when flashed packs are in the shops before the opening date, receipts from the date the packs appeared on shelves will be accepted. BUT I’ve just checked and these T&Cs do state ‘Please retain promotional pack and all receipts as proof of purchase showing date of purchase during the Promotional Period’ – suggesting a receipt dated before 10 January wouldn’t be accepted. I’ve contacted them for clarification because it would be awful to lose out on a prize because the receipt was dated too soon!

      • Vanessa says:

Thanks for contacting them for clarification. It was the wording about the receipts showing a purchase date within the promotional period that made me wonder too!

        • Di says:

I’ve had a response from the promoter that ” entries into the promotion will be accepted with receipts dated between now and 10th Jan, as long as you also keep your promotional pack as proof of purchase.” – they will be updating the T&Cs to clarify this1

          • Vanessa says:

Great, thanks for following up about that, and glad to know they’ll be updating their t&c accordingly.
