Great Christmas gifts for compers to buy
Are you wondering what to put on your Christmas list this year – or what to buy for family and friends? There are several ‘purchase necessary’ promotions around at the moment that would make great Christmas presents. With most of them you can keep the receipt, order number or neck collar to enter the competition yourself – then gift the product!
I enjoy entering purchase-necessary promotions because they tend to get far fewer entries than free prize draws, meaning they are easier to win! If you enjoy this type of competition, check my tips for winning on-pack promotions and my Compers Shopping List too.
Here’s my top Christmas picks…
Candy Kittens sweets
Who wouldn’t want to find sweeties in their stocking on Christmas morning? Buy any Candy Kittens product at a participating Co-op store and you could win a 2-night Red Letter Days break! Upload your receipt at candykittens.co.uk/pages/co-opwin before 30 November 2020.
Hophouse Lager gift set
Buy a Hophouse lager and pork scratchings gift set (definitely available at Tesco, I’m not sure about other stores) and you’ll find an entry form inside. Post it off before 28 February 2021 and you could win a smart TV!
T&Cs are here – enter before 28 February 2021
Storecupboard One Pound Meals book
Books are always a lovely gift, and if you order the new Miguel Barclay cookbook Storecupboard One Pound Meals, you’ll be entered in a prize draw to win a Zoom cookery class with the chef (there will be four winners).
Order the book on Amazon (affiliate link) then enter here by 11 December 2020
Candles make a lovely gift for family members! Buy a candle (or other product) from Glade’s Limited Edition Winter Fragrance range and upload a photo of your receipt or online order at www.gladejourneytolapland.com – you could win a trip to Lapland. If you buy your candle at Sainsbury’s you’ll also go into a bonus prize draw with an extra chance to win a holiday.
Get your entries in before 31 December 2020.
Baileys Irish Cream
Look out for promo neck collars on bottles of Baileys Irish Cream – you could win one of 3,000 festive hampers instantly if you enter the unique code from the collar online. Note this is an algorithmic promotion, so we can only expect about 100-150 hampers to actually be won!
Enter your code at www.baileys.com/en-gb/win before 31 December 2020
Villa Ascenti Gin
Buy a bottle of Villa Ascenti gin at Waitrose, complete your receipt or order number on the entry form and you’ll go into a prize draw to win one of three luxury gin hampers!
Enter at www.waitrose.com before 1 December 2020
Gareth Southgate Book
This is a great gift for footy fans! Buy a copy of ‘Anything is Possible’ from Waterstone’s and you’ll be entered into a prize draw to win a 15-minute Zoom call with Gareth Southgate and a football kit signed by him. Five runners up win signed footballs.
Buy Anything is Possible at Waterstones before 25 November 2020 – there are limited signed copies available for £16.99! (affiliate link)
Now, this one is a Willy Wonka style golden ticket promotion, so you’re not actually able to enter it yourself and then pass the gift on – but if you’re a footy fan, you could add it to your own Christmas list! Look out for this Cadbury Premier League football in the shops, and if you find a golden ticket inside you’ve won a prize (12 VIP stadium tours and up to 100 pairs of Premier League match tickets). Buy your football at Co-op and you can also enter their text competition to win a holiday to Lapland!
T&Cs are here – if you win, there’s a number on the ticket to call and you’ll need to claim before 26 March 2021.
If you decide to buy any of these products, don’t forget to check cashback websites and apps for deals before you spend your cash.
