Win thousands of prizes in the Roald Dahl Mr Kipling competition!

It’s back again! The very generous Mr Kipling on pack instant win promotion has been so popular for the last two years, that it’s returned to supermarket shelves, starting on 25 May 2021. Once again there are 200 prizes available to be won every single week – and any unclaimed prizes go into a prize draw for all losing entrants at the end of the promotion!

How to enter the Mr Kipling competition

  • Buy a pack of Mr Kipling cakes with the promotional Roald Dahl flash
  • Find the unique 10 digit code inside the packaging
  • Go to and enter your date of birth
  • Click on ENTER and then enter your code – if you enter it incorrectly you’ll get an error message, and will have to try again!

If you win, you’ll find out straight away what prize you’ve won and can complete your details to claim it. If you’re not a winner, you can still complete your details to be entered into the final ‘sweep up’ prize draw for any unclaimed prizes.

This is a winning moments promotion, so your best chance of an instant win is to choose a time when not many other people are entering (around 3am is a good bet!). Find out more in my post What is a winning moment promotion?

Don’t buy Mr Kipling anymore since I found out they stopped using free range eggs. Profit over animal welfare is not good in my book.

  2. Jayne Thunder says:

Thanks Di for your winners tip. My dogs were barking at 4am so I got up and entered and won a puzzle. Thankyou

  3. Satvinder Billa says:

Thanks for posting Di. Great competition though I have to admit to worrying about people buying this purchase to win products and the rise of obesity. Hopefully there are some sugar free alternatives. Thanks again for posting.

    • Di says:

I have a feeling the new HFSS (high fat, sugar & salt) legislation coming in April 2022 might well have an influence on the type of promotions we see on chocolate, crisps, cakes, biscuits and other unhealthy products. Retailers won’t be allowed to display HFSS products at aisle ends or in promotional competition stands like we have now – and possibly they might not be able to use a ‘unique code’ style promotion format such as this, because it encourages over consumption. It does seem like there are a LOT of on pack promos on sweet foods right now.

w e just purchased these halloween toffee whirls cakes on the 11th Oct so how can the Win Prizes with Mr Kipling be closed, Mr Kipling Halloween should surely not have finished till after the 31 October.

  6. Peter Bailey says:

My son so disappointed the code does not work for witches . The cakes are in date thj7pngc7k is not valid .

Not very professional or fair to advertise and then the code is not valid

    • Di says:

Is it definitely the new Witches packaging you have Peter? Because the original Summer promotion only finished at the start of September, so you might have packaging from that. Only codes from the Halloween Witches packs will work.

  7. Mr Crossman says:

Web site will not even allow me to complete my D.O.B or anything waste of time

  8. Any winners on this one yet. I have entered quite a few times but no wins

  10. fingers crossed

  11. Grace says:

Tried this and now got an our jig saw! Happy as unexpected!

  12. SUE says:

Can’t enter date of birth..nothing happens when press keys on lap top.

  13. Not impressed ! Entered the code & it replied that the code was ” all squiggley “. Don’t enter these sort of things often, but there usually is some problem with entry. Hey Ho.

  15. Janet Skitt says:

I have tried to enter the competition, but it freezes once you press submit. Always saying try again. Fed up now. Cant be bothered.

  16. Paul Gallagher says:

Useless web site to enter Mr Kipling Roald Dahl competition. Following the instructions to enter date of birth the site freezes and it is impossible to enter anything. I have the pack from a recent purchase of Cherry Bakewells, and a code from inside the pack, but that is no use if the competition cannot be entered. I was trying my luck for a prize for one of my Grandchildren, but obviously not to be. Perhaps you would be kind enough to advise me as to what the problem is.

    • Di says:

Paul, are you sure the site is freezing? You need to click on ENTER on the signpost to get to the code entry page. Have you tried on a different device?

  17. christine reid says:

I hate this one lol, never win on it but still find myself buying the things.

  18. Louise Atherton says:

Mr Kiplings Roal Dahl love this competition but I must admit to never having won anything in it – will try again though
